I’ve been challenging myself to sketch more (daily) and to find interesting things to draw. I think I’ve accomplished that.

I’m still creating my initial sketches with a pencil. I’ve temporarily stopped using my Copic fine pen to draw the permanent outlines of my sketches. I sometimes find it creates a harsh outline in my pen & ink wash art. For now, I prefer the softer look of my sketches.

I use my kneaded eraser and dabble it around my sketch to remove the darker lines. I have to remind myself to lighten up on my pencil grip. Sometimes you might see what appears to be broken lines in my sketches.
The lighter pencil lines work well in this sketch especially when I’m using a yellow color in my artwork.

The smaller round candle was created using Morning Frost. I enjoy using this silvery ink color to represent off-white and gray values.

The sea glass around the glass candles appeared to be floating on my paper.

Adding some Thunderstorm color for the shadows under each sea glass makes them appear grounded.

I have to say that filling my pens with shimmering inks has made my sketching an enjoyable adventure. I enjoy seeing the pops of sparkle on my paper.
