Swatching Robert Oster 7th Anniversary Inks…Finally

I finally found some time to swatch my new Robert Oster inks. It took me a few minutes to figure out my swatching process. The last time I created any swatches was a few months ago. This swatching is like riding a bicycle, right?

The Majestic Black ink is a dark black ink that has some sheening properties. I can see some pink undertones along with a tiny bit of blue.

Jewel in the Crown is a lovely olive green ink with golden shimmering particles. I can see some pink and a bit of blue underlying base colors appear when I added a bit of water to my swatch card.

Mystic Storm is a purple/gray ink color with no sheen, but a pinkish underlying color.

The following picture is to show my readers that I’m starting to fill my TWSBI Go pens. Which could only mean that I’m starting my pen & ink sketches.

I wanted to include my fave ink, Thunderstorm, and compare it to the other new colors.

I had created the following sketch back in June and used Thunderstorm for the jug. Then I left my sketch alone to be finished at a later time.

This is an example of having limited sketching time. I have a few pages where I create my outlines or draft sketches and when I find some time, I go back and add my inky colors.

I had the 7th Anniversary inks ordered and knew I could do something with this sketch.

It’s not quite monochromatic where I only used one inky color for the whole two page spread. I do like the outcome of showing off all three new inky colors along with Thunderstorm.

I’m happy to have added these new Robert Oster colors. They each have a unique and colorful personality. Still. My fave is Thunderstorm.
