Today’s Diamine Inkvent calendar color is Upon a Star. This is a dark blue chameleon ink. This ink has a cornflower blue undertone with lots of red sheen and green-blue shimmers. Most of swatches I’ve seen have the lovely green shimmers like T’s swatch on the left. I’ve also seen some blue shimmers.
From the bottom of T’s bottle I can see the green shimmers with tiny bits of blue shimmers as well.
When I first saw Upon a Star and it’s amazing chameleon properties, I thought I would have a hard time coming up with similar swatches. Stargazer popped out at me only for it’s similar shimmers and sheen and not necessarily for the base color.
Ruby Blues would be a close match with the cornflower blue inky color and lovely red sheen. I included True Blue and Blue Moon for those who might prefer less sheen and more blue color.
So far, the Diamine chameleon colors are making it to the top of my wish list.
